The Aligned Optometrist Program is an initiative of Optometry Queensland Northern Territory (OQNT).

The program is designed to offer a partnership between community optometrists and Queensland Health’s Hospital and Health Services (HHS’) ophthalmology services. The program will provide the guidelines and reporting templates to allow discharge pathways for patients that have been under the care of a HHS ophthalmology service for their primary ocular condition to be monitored and managed by community optometrists.
